Biomass Reduction

Quotations available upon request

As Japanese Knotweed spreads entirely vegetatively in Ireland and the UK, removing as much of the root material (rhizome) as possible deprives the plant of its only viable form of spread.

Biomass Reduction involves the use of a mini-digger attached with a narrow grading bucket to gradually scrape away shallow layers of soil to expose buried root material.

This process is overseen by one of our PCA qualified surveyors who will periodically remove exposed root material  and transfer it to geo-textile lined bin for careful disposal.

An Invasive Species Management Plan will accompany any treatment process.
