Chemical Stem Injection

For particularly sensitive areas not suitable for chemical foliar application (spraying), another option is stem injection where each individual cane is injected with a concentrated dose of herbicide.

This method ensures that only the Japanese Knotweed is targeted and other plants remain unharmed.

This method is preferred where the Japanese Knotweed infestation is amongst or close to ecologically sensitive areas such as watercourses and other valuable habitats or may persist in garden areas which are to be preserved.

An Invasive Species Management Plan will accompany any treatment process.
